This is a list of my favorites.
Criteria for this list is yaoi I wish I could reexperience again for the first time and periodically reread. Things will be added/removed as my tastes change.

Punch Drunk Love
I love Punch Drunk Love and have for some time. It is a comedy manwha about an eccentric gay guy with a crush on his boss. I liked this manga for its sincerity and Seon-Woo Park. I found Seon-Woo Park to be a really realistic representation of being a 'weird' person living in society.
I know people consider him autistic, but really I identified with him because he has a lot of traits that I have as someone on the schizophrenia spectrum- specifically the eccentricity part of the personality disorder I have. I don't think he's written with that in mind, but I related to him so much that he is a special character to me. Seeing his struggles at work, his devotion to tasks at hand, his weird ways of dressing, and his thought processes depicted by the manwhaga who clearly loves him for that is fantastic.
At the end of the manwha he dresses more normally which saddens me though I think Seon-Woo Park will always be himself. In some ways the circumstances really relied on him dressing up like a 'proper' man, but I wish he'd returned to his weird clothes in the final arcs, especially since the manwhaga makes it clear he really likes those things even though he clearly doesn't have good fashion sense.
But regardless of that, people close to Seon-Woo often express the eccentricity he has, and I loved them so much. There's a lot of fun stuff in this manwha, and it explores sex in an interesting way too. I really do love it and think of it often.
Dawn of the Dragon
I really liked Dawn of the Dragon! I thought bought characters were delightful. It made me cry a bunch. I got this recommendation from bohiebear.neocities.org back when I was still on Neocities. I read it. I think I've actually read it twice or three times.
I've been thinking about it again- wishing I could reexperience it for the first time. It's by the author of a manwha I liked called Love Plan, and some aspects of Love Plan I loved were also here. I like these.. weird love interests.. Who do really insane things because of how strongly they feel love in their heart.
I'm going to reread it soon and add longer description!
Fucked By My Best Friend
Fucked By My Best Friend is barely yaoi. It's about a guy who gets cursed by someone(???) and is turned into a girl randomly, and then you can guess what happens. It's actually a very interesting work despite the title just being generic hentai material haha. The adverts actually all made it seem like generic hentai material, but readers in the comments section said it was actually very good. I agreed with them. It has some interesting things to say about gender, realizing you're gay, being in a gay relationship, etc etc. It's also very silly and funny. The last chapters are kind of cringe though haha. It really is roller coaster of deep introspection then silly hentai thing.
Manly Appetites: Minegishi Loves Otsu
Manly Appetites is really cute and completely SFW. I just enjoy moe business men. The illustrations are cute. Moe business men. Moe business men. Moe business men. To be honest I have a hard time putting into words why this is one of my favorites other than moe business men. There's not a lot going on. Otsu is kind of a piece of work at times, but he is often compared to a grumpy cat. Minegishi is very cute.
I like to point to this manga and go "see not all of yaoi is porn" in IRL conversations too HAHA.
Hoshi No Yakata
I really like the illustrations in Hoshi No Yakata. The story/setting is clever excuse for the author to draw everyone in kink gear. To be honest, this is one of my favorites because I just really like the variety of kink gear, and the linework is so beautiful. Some of the dynamics are super interesting, and there is a wide variety of them. I am easy to please.
BJ Alex
BJ Alex is one ofthe most popular yaoi I think. This is good for good reason. It's a very predictable story, but it's satisfying to watch it play out. To be honest, I enjoy the side couple more than the main couple, and their chapters were always fun to read to me. Though I didn't like the last one at the end of the webtoon. It actually kind of confused me and felt a bit out of character for Chan-Woo, but it didn't ruin my enjoyment of BJ Alex or anything.
Kill the Lights
Kill the Lights is a webtoon I really enjoyed that is apparently based on a novel that is way better, so perhaps in due time this webtoon cover will be replaced with the novel cover. Kill the Lights is about a celebrity who dies and the soul of a mercenary ends up in his body. There's a lot of stuff happening in this manga- I don't know how to keep summarizing it, but it was interesting, and I enjoyed it. I liked Mason a lot. Mason is actually the reason I think this is one of my favorites. He is such a character, and I enjoy when both people in the relationship match each other's energy (and the romantic interest is a fucking character)
In the Castle: the Dragon's Erotic Education
Okay, this is just porn, and the only reason to read it is for porn reasons (and for some funnies to be honest). I'm sorry. Is it weird to put this in my favorites? I just really liked it lol. I sometimes think about it randomly. There's a lot of crazy shit in this. I'd love to look into the author's mind and also their bookmarks. It's a harem yaoi. Would you believe I don't think I've ever actually consumed harem anything. I find the concept appealing, but most executions rather boring. But this really fucking entertains me. It made me laugh a lot. I'd just be sitting in the dark and then I'd burst out laughing. And sometimes, I'd have to cover my face because I felt embarrassed about what was happening in the story. Also, despite their being a trope I usually hate in these stories, I actually really love that chapter in this one webtoon!! I'd kill to see what else this artist is making!!
